The left-back Sajad Jassim stepped up and executed it with high confidence to announce the first goal in the 47th minute, and the Police entered the locker room leading by a well-deserved goal.
In the second half, the technical and physical difference between the two teams became evident, as the Police continued its dominance and raised the pace of play, until the 70th minute which brought a wonderful artistic touch from the Syrian star Mahmoud Al-Mawas, who executed a free kick from outside the penalty area in a world-class manner that settled into the upper corner of goalkeeper Ali Yassin, who could only watch without any reaction.
In the 79th minute, coach Moamen Suleiman made some substitutions, including the entry of Tunisian professional Ayoub Ben Machar, who did not take long to leave his mark, as he scored the third goal after a skillful display and a ball exchange with his teammates. He did not stop there, as he returned in the 86th minute to add the fourth goal after a pass from the outstanding Bassam Shakir from the right side, which Ayoub set up for himself and confidently shot into the net, marking his personal double.
With this victory, the Police raised its tally to 80 points at the top of the standings, expanding the gap to 6 points temporarily from its closest pursuer Al-Zawraa, getting closer to securing the league title with three rounds remaining.
As for Oil, it remained in seventh place with 52 points, but it suffered a heavy defeat today and consecutive blows against a team that shows a champion's character in every round.
