Delay in Al-Hilal's Contract with Inzaghi Prevents Team from World Cup Signings
Thursday 12-06-2025
Sports analyst Ali Al-Habsi revealed the main reason behind the absence of new signings in Al-Hilal Club during the exceptional transfer period, in preparation for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Al-Habsi explained that the blue management intended to strengthen the team after the end of the Roshan Saudi League, but the delay in contracting with Italian coach Simone Inzaghi played a pivotal role in obstructing those plans.

During his talk on the "Dourina Ghair" program, he noted that the timing of Inzaghi's arrival did not give the club enough opportunity to optimally assess the team's needs, which led to the postponement of signings.

Al-Habsi indicated that the management and the new coach preferred to take their time instead of rushing to bring in new players who may not adapt quickly to the current group, especially given the sensitivity of the upcoming tournament.

He confirmed that participating in a major tournament like the FIFA Club World Cup requires careful selection of elements, which made the club more cautious in making contract decisions.
