The Asian Football Confederation has announced the opening of voting for fans to select the best player in the elite AFC Champions League, as part of an initiative supported by the Saudi Tourism Authority.

The list of nominees includes ten brilliant players, among whom are four stars playing in Saudi clubs, who have stood out with their remarkable performances during the current edition of the tournament.

Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, tops the list of stars after scoring eight goals, followed by Salem Al-Dawsari, Al-Hilal's star and the tournament's top scorer with ten goals, and the winner of the Best Player award in the 2021 edition.

Algerian Riyad Mahrez, winger of Al-Ahli, has made a significant presence by scoring nine goals and providing eight assists, alongside his Brazilian teammate Roberto Firmino, who scored six goals and assisted seven, including two crucial goals in the final.

The list also included prominent names from other Asian clubs, such as Akram Afif from Al-Sadd in Qatar, Sota Miura and Marcinho from Kawasaki in Japan, Jacek Asani from Guangzhou, Anderson Lopez from Yokohama, and Neil Etheridge from Buriram United.
