Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, criticized the Club World Cup, which will take place from June 15 to July 13 in the United States.
Tebas stated in press remarks: "The Club World Cup is absolute nonsense; this model harms La Liga, as when will Real Madrid and Atletico be able to start their matches in La Liga?"
He added: "I am happy that Florentino Perez loves the Club World Cup and does not criticize it."
He concluded: "Of course, Florentino loves such tournaments because he enjoys playing with the elite."
Reports have indicated that La Liga may postpone matches for Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in La Liga if the teams reach the final stages of the Club World Cup.
It is worth noting that the new season of La Liga will start on August 17, 2025.
