Regarding scoring two goals and providing two assists against Spain and Germany after scoring one goal in the last 11 matches: "It feels good, I have always wanted to be important in the French team, and it is good to start being decisive again, which should be the norm for me. But scoring is not the end of the world: when we lost to Spain (4-5), I did not remember the fact that I scored and allowed others to score."

He added: "Now, scoring a goal from open play (for the first time in a year) makes me happy, even if I am not too worried, because I am still one of the top scorers in the history of the French national team. There has been a lot of talk about my lack of goals, but this shows the respect for the player that I am."
