Khalifi: Dembélé Deserves the Ballon d'Or, and Enrique is a Great Coach
Sunday 08-06-2025
Nasser Khalifi, the president of Paris Saint-Germain, made controversial statements, confirming that scoring goals in La Liga is much easier than in Ligue 1. He also praised coach Luis Enrique and star Ousmane Dembélé after their historic victory in the 2025 UEFA Champions League.

Khalifi spoke in important remarks, saying: "Luis Enrique told me before the Arsenal match that we would win the Champions League, and I was extremely happy with every goal in the final. I couldn't believe we won 5-0 against Inter. This club has become a source of pride for Qatar and France globally after this amazing achievement, and the club is now making huge profits."

He added: "Enrique is the best coach at developing players, and his genuine care for them is one of the main reasons for our success. No one expected us to win the title, but we approached the tournament step by step."

The Paris Saint-Germain president continued: "The Liverpool match at Anfield gave us confidence, and having stars over the years has greatly contributed to increasing the club's global popularity. Now we have academies all over the world."

He continued: "We chose Luis Enrique because we believe in attacking football and playing joyfully. I felt proud when the French president expressed his gratitude to all Qataris, and within just three hours after the final, we achieved sales of 5 million shirts."

Khalifi went on to say: "It's easier to score goals in La Liga compared to Ligue 1. Enrique defended Ligue 1 against English fans' criticisms, who described it as a farmers' league, but we defeated Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Aston Villa this season."

He concluded by saying: "Ousmane Dembélé deserves the Ballon d'Or, not only for his technical abilities but also for his character. He is completely committed both on and off the pitch, and he maintains his faith."
