Diaz: Happy at Liverpool, and There Are Negotiations with Other Clubs
Colombian winger Luis Diaz, a player for Liverpool FC, commented on his future with the club amidst increasing rumors about a potential departure during the summer transfer window, with interest from Spanish club Barcelona and Saudi club Al-Nassr.
During his time with the Colombian national team in preparation for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Diaz spoke at a press conference about his position on staying with the Reds, saying: "I feel very happy at Liverpool, I have been treated very well since my first day at the club."
He added: "Yes, there are negotiations with other clubs, and I think that is normal because we are in the summer transfer market."
Diaz continued: "But if Liverpool renews my contract, or even if I have to stay and fulfill my contract for another two years, I will gladly stay; the matter is now up to the management."
Diaz's statements came after British media reports indicated that Liverpool had rejected an offer from Barcelona to sign the player.
