Gordon: I feel my soul is bigger than my age and social media has made the world worse

Gordon said: "I feel that my spirit is much bigger than my age, as if I belong to the past, I feel like I belong to another era. I think my personality fits the 90s better."

The England international player stated: "At the moment, everyone is obsessed with social media, and everything has become materialistic, while romance is almost disappearing from life."

He added: "Since the emergence of social media in 2010, the world has started to decline. People focus on things that don't matter; the only thing that really matters is what happens at home, with the people you love."

Gordon's comments come amid increasing criticism of the role social media plays in people's lives, especially with the ongoing comparison that digital platforms impose between users and the lives of others.

Gordon concluded his remarks on this idea by stating that social media can even influence major decisions in people's lives, due to their constant preoccupation with comparing themselves to others and believing that what others have is better than what they possess.
