Sergio Busquets, midfielder for Inter Miami, confirmed the difficulty of facing Al Ahly in the opening of the 2025 Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States.

Al Ahly will meet Inter Miami on June 14, in the first round of the group stage of the tournament, in a strong match.

Busquets said in press statements: "I am happy to play the opening match in our city and among our fans. We know how important a strong start is in the tournament."

He added: "We are facing a big team like Al Ahly, which has extensive experience in these tournaments and has achieved great success in Africa. It will be a very difficult match."

Busquets praised the team's fans, saying: "Miami has a large number of Latinos, a passionate crowd that always cheers and supports the team. We are very grateful to them."

Regarding participation in the tournament, he explained: "It is great to play in the Club World Cup among the top clubs in the world. Our enthusiasm is high, and we aim to qualify for as far as possible, especially since we are playing two matches in our city."

He noted that the team does not have much experience in such tournaments, but he expressed his personal happiness in winning several titles with clubs and the Spanish national team.

About his teammate Lionel Messi, Busquets said: "Everyone knows Messi; I don't think there is a player like him. He is exceptional in every way."

It is worth mentioning that Al Ahly's group in the Club World Cup includes FC Porto from Portugal, Palmeiras from Brazil, and Inter Miami from the USA.
