The Modern Sport Club in Egypt officially announced the departure of the team's coach, Abdelhak Benchikha.
The club's statement said: "We extend our thanks to the board of directors of Modern Sport Club for the Algerian coach Abdelhak Benchikha for the period he spent with the first football team during the past period, wishing him success in the upcoming stage."
Modern Sport is currently in fifth place in the relegation group of the Egyptian league with 26 points.
The last match played by the team was against Tala'ea El Gaish in the ninth round of the relegation phase of the league, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
