UEFA Considers Punishing Paris Saint-Germain
Monday 02-06-2025
The European Football Association is preparing to impose a financial penalty on Paris Saint-Germain following the events that occurred at the Allianz Arena in Munich during the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain had won the Champions League title for the first time in its history, with a significant victory over Inter Milan by a score of 5-0. However, the celebrations of the Parisian fans caused severe damage to the pitch.

Sky Germany reported that UEFA decided to impose a fine on the French club after some of its supporters damaged the grass and tore large sections of it just days before the stadium was set to host the match between Germany and Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.

Although the amount of the fine has not yet been specified, Sky confirmed that UEFA will make a decisive decision following the evident damage to the stadium.

For his part, the director of the Allianz Arena, Jürgen Muth, stated in comments to the network that the damage will be fully repaired, affirming that there is no risk to the scheduled match next Wednesday between Germany and Portugal.
