Officially: Inter Milan Renews Cristian Chivu's Contract Until 2028

Inter Milan officially announced the extension of their Romanian coach Cristian Chivu's contract until the summer of 2028, following an exceptional season in which he led the team to achieve a domestic double by winning the Italian Serie A and the Coppa Italia, in addition to being named the best coach in the Italian league for the 2025-2026 season.

Kivo took over coaching the Nerazzurri on June 9, 2025, and led the team in 58 matches during his first season, which saw Inter win their 21st Scudetto in history and their 10th cup, thus etching his name in the club's history as one of its most prominent figures, both as a player and a coach.

The Romanian coach also achieved several historical records, becoming the fifth coach in Inter's history to win the league in his first season with the team, and the first to win the Scudetto with the club in its three different stages as a player, youth team coach, and then first team coach. Additionally, he is the second coach to win the league title with both the first team and the youth team.

The club emphasized that the values of "pride, loyalty, and belonging to Inter" that Chivu has upheld since his arrival have become the foundation for the team's successes. They expressed confidence in the coach's continued leadership of the Nerazzurri towards new challenges in Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, and the Coppa Italia in the coming years.
