Al Ahly club announced today the departure of its player Amr Solia from the ranks of the red team after the end of his contract with the club.

Amr Solia commented on his departure via Facebook, saying: "To the great Al Ahly fans... the moment of farewell has come... today I announce the end of my journey with Al Ahly. Nine and a half years since my first day within the walls of Al Ahly, you have been my support at every moment and in every place. We have shared many memories, including difficult moments we overcame together, moments of joy and winning titles, and moments where we knew no impossibility. I am proud of what I achieved with the club: 342 matches, 34 goals, 29 assists, and 24 titles. Thank you to the Al Ahly fans and everyone I shared the field with.

He added: "Thank you to everyone within the system. Today, my journey with Al Ahly has ended. Thank God I never fell short or hesitated to give my all. I am proud of what I have done, proud of the journey from beginning to end. I hope I have fulfilled my mission to the fullest. I will miss your chants for me (Amr ya Solia, we love you, Abu Laila)."

He concluded: "A final message to all the workers in Al Ahly: Thank you for your love over the nine and a half years I spent with you, the best times and moments filled with love and brotherhood. In the end, I wish all the best for the club and the players in what is to come. The journey of player number 17 with Al Ahly has ended."
