Inter Milan intervenes to keep Inzaghi from Al Hilal's offer
The Italian club Inter Milan is making significant efforts to keep its coach Simone Inzaghi after Saudi club Al Hilal entered negotiations to acquire him.
The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that Inter's management, led by CEO Giuseppe Marotta, is preparing a new offer to extend Inzaghi's contract until 2028.
The new offer includes an annual salary exceeding 8 million euros, in addition to financial bonuses tied to the team's results, especially in the event of winning the UEFA Champions League.
Inzaghi's current contract extends until the summer of 2026 and was recently renewed following the victory in the Italian league, but the club does not want to enter the new season without resolving his future.
Despite the tempting offers he has received from Al Hilal, Inter is committed to its coach and emphasizes that the priority for the upcoming phase is to ensure his continuity, which Inzaghi himself has also announced.
Official negotiations between the two parties are expected to start early next week, following the Champions League final, with aspirations to achieve the title before the new signing.
