Liverpool, the English Premier League champions, is seeking to make a new attacking signing during the summer transfer window to meet the needs of Dutch head coach Arne Slot, who has outlined the team's requirements for the upcoming season.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool has prioritized French striker Hugo Iketike, a player for Eintracht Frankfurt, following his impressive performances during the last season with the German club.

The network clarified that the 22-year-old Iketike has caught the attention of Liverpool officials, and discussions within the club regarding a potential signing have already begun. In contrast, Markus Krösche, the sporting director of Frankfurt, insists on receiving €100 million for the player’s transfer.

It is noteworthy that Iketike participated in 48 matches last season, scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists, making him one of the standout stars of the team. Additionally, Liverpool's management is also nearing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremy Frimpong and Florian Wirtz as part of their plans to strengthen the squad.
