Officially: Real Madrid Announces Luka Modric's Departure

Croatian Luka Modric, the star midfielder of Real Madrid, has officially announced his departure from the royal club after a career filled with achievements and championships. Modric joined Real Madrid in August 2012 from Tottenham for £30 million.

Modric bid farewell to Real Madrid fans with an emotional message in which he said: "It is time for my last match at Santiago Bernabeu, after years of pride and successes that changed my life as a player and a person."

He added that he feels deep gratitude to the club, president Florentino Perez, his teammates, and everyone who supported him throughout his career.

Modric confirmed that he will always remain a fan of Real Madrid even after his journey with the team ends, noting that he will not wear the jersey after the Club World Cup.

For its part, the Real Madrid management announced that it has agreed with Modric on the termination of his contract after the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States starting June 14, confirming that he will be honored in his last match at Santiago Bernabeu next Saturday.

Modric is considered one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and world football, leaving an unforgettable legacy of championships and historic moments with the royal club.
