Informed sources have reported that the management of Al Ahly club has notified the Ivorian player Frank Kessie of the German coach Matthias Jaissle's unwillingness to keep him with the team for the upcoming season.

The management discussed Kessie's future and informed him of the necessity to seek suitable offers to present, as a preliminary step to end his journey with the club after just one season in the Saudi league.

Kessie joined Al Ahly in August 2023 from Barcelona, in a deal worth approximately 12.5 million euros, but his performance did not meet the expected technical standards.

According to observers, the coach's decision was based on a comprehensive assessment of Kessie's performance, especially after his failure to provide the expected contribution in the midfield position.

Kessie's numbers in the Roshan League this season were not remarkable, as he participated in 28 matches and scored only two goals, while providing five assists to his teammates.
