Al-Shalhoub: We Drew Against a Respectable Team and Could Have Won
Mohammed Al-Shalhoub, the interim coach of Al-Hilal, confirmed that his team could have won against Al-Wahda in the match held on Wednesday evening in the 33rd round of the Saudi League, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Al-Shalhoub said during the post-match press conference: "I thank the Al-Hilal management for their trust, and my start and experience at the club have been good, and I am happy with the group."
He added: "I will definitely be a professional coach in the future and I will not accept in the future to hold the position of interim coach."
He continued: "I trust all the players, and each match has its circumstances, and the most prepared is the one who starts the match. In the last match, Hassan Tambakti was suffering from a health issue, and today he was also not in the best shape."
He concluded: "The match was not easy, especially since we went through some circumstances before the match, specifically the injury of Mitrovic and his health issue. We managed to cope thanks to the group. We drew against a respectable team and we could have won."
