The coach of Al-Zawraa Club, Haider Obeid, expressed his great satisfaction after his team won against Al-Hudood with two goals to none, in the match that brought the two teams together in the thirty-fourth round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that his team is on the right path towards competing for the title.

Obeid said in his post-match remarks:

"Congratulations to our team for this victory, and hard luck to Al-Hudood. We played a good match, especially in the second half, while in the first half the high temperatures affected us and it was difficult to impose our rhythm as needed, but the players dealt intelligently with the course of the match and succeeded in securing the result in our favor."

Regarding the team's journey in the remaining rounds, the coach clarified:

"We are in a very sensitive stage, and the last matches do not allow for any setbacks. We have four matches left, and we will strive to win them all so that we can be in a position to truly compete with Al-Police for the league title. The Al-Zawraa fans deserve joy, and the title has been absent from the club's treasury for seven years, and we aspire to bring it back this season, God willing."

He was also asked about the impact of the upcoming international break on the team's performance, to which he confidently replied:

"Breaks can affect the rhythm of some teams, but Al-Zawraa is currently at the peak of its performance, and we will try to maintain this momentum even after the break. We have professional players and high-level substitutes, which gives us stability and confidence to continue our strong performance."

It is noteworthy that with this victory, Al-Zawraa raised its score to 74 points and continued its direct pursuit of Al-Police in the title race.
