Al-Zawraa host Al-Riffa in a crucial encounter

In a crucial moment and a fierce battle for qualification spots, the eyes of the fans will turn to the Al-Zawraa Stadium in the capital Baghdad tomorrow evening, Tuesday, November 3, 2026, where the anticipated match will take place between Al-Zawraa and their guests Al-Riffa at 5:30 PM for the third round of the Gulf Clubs Champions League.

The Seagulls face this match amid difficult circumstances and accumulated problems, including a decline in results and administrative crises that have overshadowed the team's recent performance. Nevertheless, the players of captain Bassem Qassem enter the match with the motto that there is no alternative to victory to wipe away the dust of the recent setback.

Al-Zawraa are looking to compensate for their bitter loss in the last round on the same pitch against Al-Nasr of the UAE by a score of 1-0 and return to winning ways in the Gulf competitions.

The team currently sits in fourth and last place in the group standings with just one point, earned from a thrilling draw in the first round against Qatar SC, making it imperative for them to secure a victory to revive their hopes of competing and advancing to the next round.

On the other side, Al Riffa of Bahrain enter the match with extremely high morale and a fighting spirit after achieving a convincing and deserved four-goal win against Qatar SC in the last round.

The Bahraini team sets its sights on returning from the capital Baghdad with all three points to boost their chances of snatching a qualification spot, taking advantage of the circumstances and pressures faced by the hosts. Al-Riffa currently sits in second place with 3 points, providing them with additional motivation to widen the gap and confirm their technical superiority in this complex group.

Between the wounds of Al-Zawraa and their burning desire to regain their Gulf stature on their home ground among their supporters, and the ambition of Al-Riffa to seize the top spot from the heart of Baghdad, fans are looking forward to a fierce football battle.
