Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti appeared in a press statement after the 2-0 victory over Sevilla in the 37th round of La Liga at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

The coach said: "It was a difficult match due to the atmosphere and because we had the advantage with the two red cards. The pace of the game was not very strong."

He added: "We wanted to collect all three points, and we achieved that brilliantly, without any risk. We could have played better, but once we took the lead, we didn't need to exert ourselves too much."

Regarding Modric's future: "All Real Madrid fans love Modric for his career. They will have time to make the best decision for him and the club."

On academy players: "There are great examples who have been here for many years, like Carvajal, Nacho, and Lucas Vazquez. You have to fight, work hard, and dream of playing for Real Madrid one day. Those who made their debut this year performed wonderfully, especially Asensio, who played many matches. The others didn't play much, but Gonzalo, Victor, and Jacobo are performing excellently with Castilla."

He continued: "Raúl Asensio has had a great performance this year. They are very close to helping the first team. It's true that he suffered from some injuries, but he managed to bring out the best in his team and help the young players develop and progress.

He concluded about Jacobo: "Having a dual advantage means that the defenders didn't exert enough effort. We believe that Jacobo is at Asensio's level. He suffered from a relatively long injury in the first half of the season. He has the qualities needed to be a center-back for Real Madrid. He is tall, strong in duels, and very fast. He is a bit shy, which is why he hasn't shown all his skills, which we believe he possesses a lot of."
