Domingos Suarez, the CEO of Al-Ittihad Club, revealed that French player Karim Benzema will continue with the club next season.

Suarez stated in remarks published by Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper: "Karim Benzema is under contract with Al-Ittihad Club, and we rely on him. He is a great leader who gives the team a lot of positive energy, and we are happy to have him."

He added: "We want to win the King’s Cup against Al-Qadisiyah on May 30, and now is the time to celebrate the league title, which is wonderful, but we still have two weeks to prepare strongly for the King’s Cup final."

He continued: "The Union fans are amazing, and I know they made a great effort to attend in Al-Qassim yesterday, many of them came from Jeddah and other areas of the Kingdom, and their support was important for all of us, especially for the players. I thank them for this effort and sacrifices, and for leaving their families at home; they have always been there to support the Union."

Suarez concluded his remarks by saying: "In the match against Al-Raed, you have to fight in every game until the end, and I told the players that we need to be serious, and that’s exactly what happened."
