Barcelona president Joan Laporta expressed his happiness at securing the La Liga title for the 28th time in the club's history, following a 2-0 win against Espanyol in the 26th round of the Spanish league.

The president stated in his remarks: "Yamal is a genius, he is one of the geniuses of football, and this type of player is rarely seen. We saw today how he paved the way for us with his goal; he not only showcases his individual skills but also participates in the play and appears in every attack."

He added: "The players here enjoy playing football, and they master Barcelona's style of play, this authentic style, with players who possess tremendous quality and enjoy playing together."

He continued: "When I enter the dressing room, I always see them with music, dancing and joking. They have this spontaneity, and this is due to their young age. This gives them character

and courage."

He followed up: "In the Champions League semi-final against Inter, when the team was leading 3-2 with three minutes left, they were looking for the fourth goal, while it would have been better to secure the result; the logical action would have been to play calmly. But I believe they have room for improvement, and they are convinced that they need to learn. We have a team for the future and the present."

He added: "The signing of Flick was Deco's decision; he told us he is the ideal person to lead this group, which consists of wonderful players. We gave him our full trust. Flick has proven to be a professional, strict, but at the same time has a special sensitivity in dealing with players, and a clear and transparent vision that conveys a good feeling. He is a strict person, but he knows well how to deal with players."

He increased: "We are happy with the title, fans, players, and supporters. I believe this title can be described as historic due to the difficulties we faced. I want to thank, first of all, the players who delivered a wonderful performance."

He indicated: "This team plays with great character and exceptional spontaneity, and conveys a very good feeling. They made us fall in love with this team, and it was not for nothing, but because of the beautiful feeling they give us. They are players who feel the club's colors and love Barcelona, and today they deserved everything because they granted us this exceptional league, as well as the coach, who is one of the keys to success, and Deco, who played a significant role in forming this squad."

He concluded: "This is a victory achieved despite the difficulties we faced, and despite attempts to destabilize us, which I have not seen in either my previous or current terms. Therefore, it is a victory for the fans, both male and female, who placed their trust in us and allowed us to maintain institutional stability."
