Barcelona is considering playing a friendly match against Liverpool in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on August 8th, as part of preparations for the new season, following a club management meeting that discussed the summer tour program and the external training camp plan.

According to Sport newspaper, the coaching staff led by Hans Flick prefers to hold the training camp in a nearby and comfortable environment for the players, avoiding long trips and focusing on physical aspects. Meanwhile, the executive management sees the tour as an important opportunity to enhance the club's global presence and market its brand.

The closest option currently is to hold a two-week camp in the English city of Birmingham, with a friendly match there on July 30, in addition to the possibility of organizing another match within England before the end of the main preparation phase.

After the camp concludes, Barcelona is considering two options: traveling to Nairobi to face Liverpool in a major public match, or heading to Morocco to play against a local team on August 5th. The latter idea is also gaining interest due to the short distance and ease of travel.
