Abdul Ilah Al-Omari, the Saudi Union defender, praised the team's captain Karim Benzema following the club's crowning as champions of the Roshan Saudi League.

Al-Omari said in television statements after securing the title: "Karim Benzema is a leader in every sense of the word... He is always with the team, whether on the field or off it... I thank him for this beautiful season, and I hope that the next one will be even better."

Regarding winning the title, he said: "Congratulations to us, and we wish good luck to Al-Raed... This is the result of a full season's work, and this is the day of celebration."

He continued: "Since the beginning of the league, we promised to play one match at a time, and now you see the result... We are the champions, and no matter what I say, I will not do justice to the Union fans."
