Nantes Decides to Punish Mustafa Mohamed
Thursday 15-05-2025
The French club Nantes has decided to impose a significant financial penalty on Egyptian striker Mustafa Mohamed due to his refusal to participate in the last match of the French league, which features an annual campaign to support homosexuality.

Mustafa Mohamed had missed the team's training camp that started in preparation for the upcoming match against Montpellier, scheduled for next Saturday, as part of the final round of the French league. The French newspaper "L'Équipe" indicated that the decision for the penalty came as a result of his repeated absence from this occasion for the third consecutive season.

On the other hand, Nantes' coach justified the absence of the Egyptian player by citing muscular discomfort, which he announced during the press conference for the match.

It is worth mentioning that Mustafa Mohamed has participated this season in 32 matches with Nantes across all competitions, scoring 6 goals and assisting 1.

Nantes is playing its final match in the league with the aim of securing survival, as it currently occupies the fifteenth position with 33 points, just two points ahead of Le Havre in the sixteenth position.
