Nantes Sacks Michel Der Zakarian After Just 3 Matches
Nantes has decided to part ways with coach Michel Der Zakarian after the team's disastrous start in Ligue 2, as confirmed by L'Équipe.
The decision came after Nantes lost its first three matches in the competition, starting the season with a defeat against Red Star by a score of 1-0, followed by a 2-1 loss to Laval, before suffering a heavy defeat against Rodez with a score of 5-2 at home.
Following these results, FC Nantes has found itself at the bottom of the table with zero points, prompting the club's management to swiftly end Der Zakarian's tenure, despite the coach returning to the team last June on a two-year contract with the aim of leading the team back to Ligue 1.
According to L'Équipe, Grégory Bourillon, the former coach of Red Star, stands out as the strongest candidate to replace Der Zakarian on the Nantes bench.
