Al-Sheikh: Al-Shalhoub is the Best to Lead Al-Hilal in the Club World Cup
Talal Al-Sheikh, the former president of Al-Shabab Club, praised Mohammad Al-Shalhoub, the interim coach of Al-Hilal, asserting that he is the best choice to lead Al-Hilal in the Club World Cup 2025.
Al-Sheikh said in television statements: "Honestly, Fahd Al-Mufrej, the executive director of football at Al-Hilal, is a tremendous Saudi value. He has managed to stay at Al-Hilal despite the succession of six administrations for the team and has achieved many accomplishments during that time."
He continued: "It is illogical to risk this value by contracting a foreign coach for the team like other clubs, and we currently see what those clubs are suffering from."
He clarified: "As for the issue of the coach who will lead the team in the Club World Cup, I believe that Al-Shalhoub has done a good job in the two matches he has coached with the team, giving opportunities to players and excluding Al-Bulaihi from the lineup, and the defensive organization has improved."
He concluded: "There is a clear acceptance from the players towards Al-Shalhoub, so why take a risk at this time? I see that Al-Shalhoub is the most suitable option to lead the leader in the Club World Cup due to the time constraints."
