Eintracht Frankfurt Forward on Liverpool's Radar
Wednesday 14-05-2025
Liverpool is preparing to make a strong move in the summer transfer market, led by their coach Arne Slot, who aims to strengthen his squad with new players after winning the Premier League title in his first season.

Liverpool is focusing on signing a new forward, given the decline in form of Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, and the uncertainty surrounding the futures of several attackers in the team such as Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz.

According to 'GiveMeSport', Liverpool is closely monitoring Eintracht Frankfurt's French forward Hugo Ekitike, who has excelled this season by scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists across various competitions.

Ekitike, who is 21 years old, has a contract with Frankfurt that extends for another four years, while the German club has set his selling price at £84 million, which could pose a financial challenge to complete the deal.

Liverpool is expected to be among the clubs, along with Chelsea and Newcastle United, that will send scouts to monitor Ekitike during Frankfurt's next match.

If the Ekitike deal falls through, Liverpool has Nigerian star Ademola Lookman from Atalanta as an alternative option to strengthen the team's attacking power for the next season.
