The Italian club Fiorentina officially announced the extension of coach Raffaele Palladino's contract until June 2027, after activating the extension clause in his contract.

Palladino took over as Fiorentina's coach in the summer of 2024, coming from Monza, and signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional season, which the club exercised today, Wednesday.

The announcement came before the team's decisive match against Real Betis in the second leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League semi-finals, where Fiorentina lost the first leg 2-1 in Spain.

Palladino aims to lead the Viola to the European final, after the team lost the last two editions of the tournament under former coach Vincenzo Italiano against West Ham and Olympiacos.
