Former Al-Hilal Official: Players Were Happy with Jesus's Departure

Abdul Karim Al-Jasser, a former board member of Al-Hilal, confirmed that the players were happy while bidding farewell to coach Jorge Jesus.

Jesus left the coaching position at Al-Hilal a few days ago after the team was eliminated from the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League following a 3-1 defeat to Al-Ahli Saudi.

Al-Jasser stated in television remarks: "It was clear during the last meeting between Jesus and the players that something was not right. I had previously indicated that there were issues between him and the players for several months. "

He continued: "From the way the players bid farewell to Jesus, we feel they are happy to see him go. This is a problem that the management contributed to escalating by not intervening in what was happening between the coach and the players."

He explained: "I believe that Mohammed Al-Shalhoub deserves all the respect and appreciation because he accepted the task of overseeing the team's training during this critical phase."

He added: "Al-Shalhoub has a wonderful personality, and I hope he succeeds in leading the team to overcome this difficult phase."
