Ali Wahib: The Local Coach Option is Better than Hussein Amouta
Ali Wahib made a provocative statement during his appearance on Al-Rabia Sports Channel, discussing the future of the national team and the topic of the upcoming coach, emphasizing the importance of choosing a local coach at this stage instead of contracting with the Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta.
He said: "The option of a local coach is better than Hussein Amouta, the Moroccan coach at this time, because he is closer to the personality of the local player."
He explained: "The Iraqi player needs a coach who understands his environment and nature both on and off the field, and the local coach possesses this advantage compared to any foreign coach regardless of their name."
He continued: "Hussein Amouta is a well-known coach with achievements, but the current stage requires a coach who knows how to deal with the local player from a psychological and tactical perspective."
He added: "This is not to diminish Amouta's value, but the local coach today is the most suitable option for the national team given the surrounding circumstances."
He concluded: "We need to build a team with a strong collective spirit, and this can be achieved with a coach who is close to the players and knows their daily details accurately."
