Thursday 30-04-2026
AC Milan has emerged as a potential destination for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, currently with Napoli, amidst rapid developments concerning his future in the Italian league, according to the Italian newspaper "Tuttosport."

According to the report, Lukaku missed Belgium's national team matches during the international break last March due to injury, but he decided to stay in his country and not return to Naples, which sparked criticism in Italy and put him in a public dispute with his club.

The newspaper added that Napoli decided to impose a financial fine on the player amounting to 150,000 euros, equivalent to 20% of his monthly salary. Reports also indicated that the southern club has settled on selling him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

In this context, the Italian report from Tuttosport explained that Milan is considering the possibility of signing Lukaku to strengthen their attack, as they search for a new striker to solve the scoring crisis the team has suffered from this season.

The report also indicated that the idea of signing Lukaku is still under consideration within the Milan management, especially with doubts about his physical readiness and declining performance this season. However, his extensive experience and age of "32 years" make him a viable option to strengthen the team.

Since the start of the current season, Lukaku has participated in 7 matches with Napoli across various competitions, during which he scored only one goal, further fueling the debate about his future with the Italian club.
