Walid Salah El-Din supported Ahmed Sayed Zizo, the Zamalek star, in his absence from the white team's training sessions.

Walid Salah El-Din said on 'On Sport' channel: 'I wouldn't have liked what happened between Zizo and the Zamalek management to reach this stage; it could have been resolved from the start. The Zamalek management should have stated from the beginning that the amount Zizo requested was too high for them and they wouldn't be able to pay it to a player.'

He added: 'I would have taken the best foreign offer and benefited from the money. The stage of Zizo's potential joining of Al Ahly was when Zamalek sat with the player and informed him that he wouldn't continue in a friendly manner.'

He continued: 'I support Zizo in not attending Zamalek's training, because it wouldn't be right for him to continue. We are not like abroad; the situation is different here. Also, Zizo is going to the traditional rival, and Zamalek had negotiated for him to waive part of his dues.'
