Haider Ubaid: We Know the Value of the Match Against Al-Shorta and We Will Enter the Match with a Victory Mentality
Al-Zawraa Club coach Haider Ubaid emphasized the importance of his team's anticipated match against Al-Shorta, in the 29th round of the Iraqi Stars League, confirming that the match represents one of the toughest and biggest challenges of the season, due to its historical and popular significance, and the weight it carries in the journey of both teams within the league.
Ubaid confirmed during the press conference preceding the match that the Al-Zawraa players are fully aware of the responsibility placed upon them, and that the team has undergone intensive preparations with high focus in order to achieve a positive result, which would enhance the position of the Al-Nawras and restore its prestige in one of the most awaited matches of the season.
He said: "We are facing one of the strongest matches of the season, the Al-Zawraa and Al-Shorta derby is always unpredictable, filled with excitement and intricate details. We know the level of pressure, but we are mentally and physically prepared to play the match with a victory mentality, not just to perform well."
He continued: "We have been working over the past few days to correct some mistakes that appeared in previous matches, and we focused particularly on enhancing the mental aspect of the players, because such matches are not only decided by tactics, but require a strong personality on the field, and this is what we are instilling in the group."
