Lautaro Martinez, the striker and captain of Inter Milan, confirmed that his team never gives up and that they are capable of achieving great accomplishments.
Inter achieved a 4-3 victory over Bayern Munich in the aggregate of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after winning the first leg at the Bavarians' home 2-1, while the return match at the Nerazzurri's ground ended in a 2-2 draw.
Inter Milan will face Barcelona in the semi-finals of the tournament.
Lautaro said in statements highlighted by the official website of the tournament: "We will remember this match for a long time, Inter never gives up, we have a strong character, heart, and mind."
He added: "We suffered but we proved once again that we are capable of achieving great accomplishments."
Regarding the match against Barcelona, Lautaro said: "It will be an important match against a prestigious opponent, in the Champions League they have a rich history, but now we are focusing on the Italian league, we have enough time before thinking about them (Barcelona)."
