Daio York: Al-Hilal Will Be Greatly Affected If Jesus Leaves
Daio York, the Manchester United legend, believes that Al-Hilal will lose a lot if Jorge Jesus, the team's coach, leaves his position.
Reports have indicated that Jesus is close to leaving to lead the Brazilian national team.
York stated in television remarks: "I understand everyone's concern, but Jesus is a great coach who has achieved many accomplishments throughout his career, both with Al-Hilal and other clubs."
He added: "He has had a career that any coach would envy, which is why he is linked to coaching a national team as significant as Brazil, as he always brings success wherever he goes."
He continued: "Jesus has a good relationship with all the players he has coached, which will benefit the Brazilian national team if he officially takes over the role."
Regarding the decline in performance, York responded: "It is true that Al-Hilal is having a tough season, but they have only suffered 6 defeats across all competitions, and they are still competing for the league and the Asian Championship. I believe the club will be greatly affected if the Portuguese coach leaves."
He added: "Despite the criticisms Jesus faces, he wants to exit in a great way by winning the league and Asia, following a wonderful series of successes last season."
He concluded: "Jesus is an experienced man with a long history, and the Brazilian offer has not affected his focus with Al-Hilal; he is aiming to win the Asian Championship, as it is the missing piece in his journey with the team."
