Nasser Maher, the midfielder for Zamalek, faced strict penalties after refusing to sit on the substitutes' bench during his team's match against Haras El Hodood, which took place as part of the Egyptian Premier League and ended with a 2-0 victory for the White Knights.

The coaching staff, led by Biserra, decided to exclude Nasser from the team list for the match against Haras El Hodood after he objected to not being a starting player.

For its part, Zamalek announced after the match that Nasser Maher had been suspended and referred for investigation before the legal affairs department, with a recommendation to the board of directors to deduct 25% of his dues due to his behavior before the match against Haras El Hodood.

According to sources, Biserra excluded Nasser Maher from the main Zamalek squad against Haras El Hodood, and the player objected to the decision after being surprised to find left-back Ahmed Fattouh in his position, which is “number 10.”

The sources indicated that the player met with Biserra in the presence of Ayman Abdelaziz and complained about not playing in his primary position.

The sources added that Biserra was angry with Nasser Maher and told him that he would not be present in the match against Haras El Hodood, and as a result, the player left the camp, leading to the announcement of his suspension and referral for investigation.
