Official: Smouha Announces the Departure of Ahmed Sami Due to Poor Results
Smouha Club officially announced today, Saturday, the termination of its contract with coach Ahmed Sami, following a series of negative results in recent times, the latest being a loss to Ghazl El Mahalla by a score of 1-0 in the second round of the relegation phase in the Nile League.
The club published a statement on its official Facebook page, saying: "Smouha Club thanks coach Ahmed Sami for the time he spent as head coach of the first team and wishes him success in his future endeavors."
Currently, Smouha occupies the fifth position in the relegation phase standings with 20 points and faces tough competition to ensure survival in the Nile League.
For its part, the club's board of directors has begun studying a number of proposed names to choose the new head coach who will lead the team during the crucial remaining rounds of the season.
