Shock Regarding Rajkovic's Situation
Al-Ittihad Club is threatened with losing the services of its goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic until the end of the current season, due to a serious injury.
According to press reports, the medical staff at Al-Ittihad has set a treatment program for Rajkovic that he will undergo until mid-May, in order to assess his response to the treatment for the injury and determine the possibility of his return to participate in the remaining competitions of the current season.
Reports indicated that Al-Ittihad consulted with specialized doctors in England and France regarding Rajkovic's injury, and while some recommended that the goalkeeper should undergo surgery, others preferred to stick with the treatment and rehabilitation program set for him.
For its part, Al-Ittihad decided to go with the second option to evaluate the goalkeeper's response to the treatment over a specified period, and if there are no positive indicators, Rajkovic will have to undergo surgery, thus ending his current season.
Sources added that the medical staff is trying to improve the goalkeeper's condition and intensify the treatment sessions so that he can participate in the match against Al-Nasr scheduled for May 7.
