According to media reports, Saad Al-Abid, the left-back of Al Ahli, will be absent from the Jeddah Derby match against Al Ittihad due to unfitness.
Al-Abid has started his rehabilitation program to recover from the injury, which means it is difficult for him to be included in the Jeddah Derby squad due to his incomplete readiness.
It is worth noting that Al-Abid suffered a tear in the hamstring during his team's victory over Al Hilal with a score of 3-2 on February 28th, during the 23rd round of the Roshan Saudi League.
Sources indicated that the German coach Matthias Jaissle is leaning towards relying on Matthew Dams to compensate for Al-Abid's absence in the derby match against Al Ittihad.
