Neymar Responds to Rumors of Interfering in Brazil's Coach Selection
Sunday 30-03-2025
Brazilian star Neymar da Silva has denied his involvement in determining the identity of the new head coach for the Brazilian national team, following the dismissal of Dorival Junior after the loss to Argentina.

Reports have circulated suggesting that Neymar opposes the appointment of Portuguese Jorge Jesus, the Al Hilal coach, to lead the 'Samba', and that he informed the Brazilian Football Confederation of his rejection of this decision.

Neymar broke his silence, affirming that he has no role in selecting the coach, emphasizing that he is just a player and does not interfere in the federation's decisions.

Neymar stated: "I am just a player, and I have nothing to do with these matters. I do not want my name to be associated with this story at all."

The Brazilian Football Confederation continues to search for a new coach to lead the team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, amid speculation about the identity of the next coach.
