Adjustment of Summer Transfer Window Dates in the Premier League
The Premier League has announced an adjustment to the summer transfer window dates for 2025, due to the hosting of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, which is scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 13.
The league confirmed in an official statement that the summer transfer window will open in two phases, with the first phase starting from June 1 and lasting until June 10, before temporarily closing for six days, and then reopening again on June 16 to continue until September 1, 2025.
Premier League clubs are expected to benefit from these adjustments to strengthen their squads before and during the tournament, with Manchester City leading the way as they participate in the Club World Cup in Group 7 alongside Juventus, Al Ain, and Wydad Casablanca, starting their campaign against Wydad on June 18.
