Jose stated in his remarks: "I was surprised by Davis's inclusion as a starter, even though he made it clear that he was unable to play."

He added: "A source within the Canadian Football Association contacted me on Friday evening and confirmed that Davis would not be in the starting lineup, and that he might only play for a few minutes, but I emphasized that he should not participate at all."

The player's agent continued his criticism of the Canada coach, saying: "Jesse Marsch should have managed the situation better to avoid these consequences; with his previous experience at clubs like Leipzig, he should have realized that it was not worth risking the inclusion of a player who is not fully fit."

This controversy comes amid Bayern Munich's announcement of Davis's long absence after suffering a torn ACL, which poses a significant blow to the Bavarian team ahead of crucial competitions in the season.
