Qatari club Al-Duhail has finalized its agreement with Algerian coach Jamal Belmadi to take over the team's leadership starting from the 2025/2026 sports season, marking his return to coaching after a period of absence since his departure from the Algerian national team in 2023.

Belmadi's return to Al-Duhail is a significant step in his career, especially since he is well-acquainted with the intricacies of Qatari football, having previously led the team during two successful periods:

the first between 2010 and 2012 when the club was known as Lekhwiya.

The second between 2015 and 2018, where he led the team to achieve notable local and continental successes.

With the impending departure of French coach Christophe Galtier, Al-Duhail's management sees Belmadi as the ideal choice to restore technical stability and lead the team towards achieving more titles.
