Hazem Emam Talks About Zamalek's Objection to Egyptian Refereeing
Hazem Emam, a member of Zamalek's planning committee, spoke about his club's objection to Egyptian refereeing in the recent derby match against Al-Ahly.
Al-Ahly objected to the appointment of Egyptian referees for the recent derby match in the league and did not attend the match, which led to it being considered as a withdrawal.
Hazem Emam stated on Zamalek Channel: "We do not deny that we objected to the refereeing, and this is our right, and there is no violation in that, but that does not mean we refuse to play the matches."
He added: "In the cup match, despite our objection to the refereeing, we played the match without any problem.. In the recent derby match, we reiterated our objection to Egyptian refereeing, but we committed to attending at the scheduled time."
He further noted: "Ahmed Hossam Mido, a member of the technical committee, spoke about Zamalek's objection to Egyptian refereeing in the derby, but he did not state that the club refuses to play the match."
