According to the official statement, the decision was made as part of supporting French clubs in European competitions, aiming to improve France's ranking in the UEFA coefficient. As a result of this adjustment, Paris Saint-Germain will have six days of rest between the first and second legs against Aston Villa, scheduled for April 9 and 15.
The schedule for Nantes has also seen additional adjustments, with their match against Rennes moved to April 18, while the encounter with Toulouse has been postponed to April 27, giving the team a long break before facing Rennes. The kickoff times for these matches have not yet been determined.
