Officially.. Bayern Munich announces the renewal of Kimmich's contract

The German club Bayern Munich announced through its official account on the social media platform "X" that it has renewed the contract of its international star Joshua Kimmich until the summer of 2029, putting an end to the speculation about his future ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Kimmich had been a target for many major European clubs, especially with the approaching end of his previous contract in the summer of 2025. The negotiations between the player and the Bavarian club witnessed a phase of tension after Bayern withdrew its initial renewal offer, before both parties reached a final agreement that keeps the player within the team for several more years.

Kimmich expressed his happiness with the renewal of his contract, stating on the club's official website: "At Bayern Munich, I have the best environment to achieve my sporting goals, and based on that, I decided to stay."

He added: "Currently, there is no better place than with my teammates, the coaching staff, and the club's environment to achieve maximum success. I feel comfortable here, and I'm not done yet."

Kimmich has participated in 24 matches in the Bundesliga this season, contributing one goal and five assists, which confirms his pivotal role in the midfield of the Bavarian team.

With this renewal, Bayern Munich continues to retain its key stars as part of its efforts to remain competitive for domestic and continental titles.
