French defender Clement Lenglet analyzed Atletico Madrid's loss against Real Madrid in the Champions League, pointing out that the match was decided by small details, but he confirmed that the team gave their all.

Lenglet said: "We didn’t see the replay, but it was clear what happened. For me, this is the first time I’ve seen such mistakes being called, but the referee decided that and we have to respect it. Even so, we didn’t give up and scored four goals from penalties, which means things were balanced until the end."

He added: "It’s complicated because both matches were decided by small details, things we could have done better in the first leg and also today, but we played face to face against Real Madrid. We suffered, but they also suffered a lot. In the end, everything is decided by details as it always happens."

He continued: "We have a match against Barcelona in just three days, and there’s no better way to bounce back than to prepare for this encounter. Barcelona won’t wait for us, so we need to be at our best to achieve a good result against them."

He sent a message to the team's fans, saying: "Thank you, thank you for everything. You supported us from last night until the last moment when we took a lap around the stadium to thank you. You were amazing, and I’ve rarely seen something like this in my life. It was incredible."

When asked about what Simeone told the players, he said: "He didn’t say much, but he wanted to convey a message of pride to the fans because they supported us strongly and helped us a lot. He wanted to thank them for everything they have done for us."
