Al-Raed Approaches Contracting with Former Saudi National Team Coach
Tuesday 11-03-2025
The management of Al-Raed Club, led by Fahd Al-Mutawa, is working to contract the national coach Khalid Al-Attawi to lead the first team until the end of the season, following the departure of Brazilian Odair Hellmann. This step comes amid the club's attempts to get the team back on the right track after a decline in its results.

Al-Attawi, who is 47 years old, has postponed his decision regarding Al-Raed's offer until after the Al-Fateh match, as he wishes to study all aspects before making his final decision. It is noteworthy that Al-Attawi previously coached Al-Ettifaq and achieved good results with them, making him a suitable option to lead Al-Raed during this difficult phase.

The management's efforts have not been limited to searching for a new coach, but have also extended to special arrangements to support the team. Club president Fahd Al-Mutawa has provided a private plane to transport the team to Al-Ahsa, in an attempt to relieve pressure on the players and prepare them mentally for the upcoming matches.

In another step to support the team, Al-Mutawa decided to double the winning bonuses from his own account to motivate the players to achieve victories. This decision aims to enhance the fighting spirit among the players, especially after a series of negative results that have put the team in a difficult position.

Al-Raed is currently in sixteenth place, just a point above the bottom of the standings, making the coming period crucial in determining the team's fate. Will Al-Attawi be the savior who brings the team back on the right track, or will Al-Raed's suffering continue until the end of the season?
